Maxim Emelyanychev always felt so close to Mozart’s music that during his childhood he was even called Mozart sometimes. This enthusiasm has not diminished. Acclaimed as one of the most interesting young conductors, he now makes his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker, naturally with a Mozart programme. Also appearing with the orchestra for the first time is Sabine Devieilhe, whose bright soprano makes her an ideal interpreter of Mozart arias.

Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev has always felt so close to the music of Mozart that during his childhood he was sometimes called “Mozart” himself. This enthusiasm has not diminished, as one can hear in Emelyanychev’s thrilling Mozart interpretations. Acclaimed as one of the most interesting young conductors, he now makes his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker – naturally with a Mozart programme that, among other works, includes the “Prague” Symphony, which is characterized by operatic drama. Also appearing with the orchestra for the first time is Sabine Devieilhe, whose bright, agile soprano voice makes her an ideal interpreter of Mozart arias.

Dirigent Maxim Emelyanychev fühlt sich der Musik Mozarts von jeher so nahe, dass er in seiner Kindheit selbst mitunter »Mozart« gerufen wurde. An dieser Begeisterung hat sich nichts geändert, wie man an Emelyanychevs elektrisierenden Mozart­-Interpretationen erkennt. Als einer der interessantesten Nachwuchsdirigenten gefeiert, gibt er nun sein Debüt bei den Berliner Philharmonikern – natürlich mit einem Mozart­-Programm, das unter anderem die von opernhafter Dramatik geprägte »Prager« Symphonie umfasst. Ebenfalls zum ersten Mal beim Orchester zu Gast ist Sabine Devieilhe, die mit ihrem hellen, beweglichen Sopran eine ideale Interpretin von Mozarts Arien ist.
