Arturo Marquez' »Danzon« is characterized by the fiery rhythms of Mexican folk music. John Corigliano's Violin Concerto, based on the famous film music of »The Red Violin«, ranges from elegiac profundity to the highest level of virtuosity. »Almost resignation, but also hope« exudes Samuel Barber's »Adagio for Strings«, which gained worldwide fame as film music. The style of the Hebrew language influences the musical character of Bernstein's »Chichester Psalms«. Bernstein himself described his psalm-based choral work as "sincere" and "the catchiest B-flat tonal piece [he] ever wrote."

Guest conductors include the internationally renowned American conductor Robert Moody, the multi-award-winning Austrian violinist Christoph Koncz and the renowned English counter-tenor Thomas Scott-Cowell.
