The Malagasy tenor, Sahy Ratianarinaivo (Ratia) grew up in a family of musicians. Grandson of an organist and son of a choir director, he joined his church choir at the age of 15. He was introduced to classical music the day he decided to enter the Laka School of Music. He began to learn the basics of musical training and opera. In 2009, he joined the vocal ensemble Cantareunion where he had the chance to sing works such as Dixit Dominus by Antonio Vivaldi, conducted by Jean-Claude Malgoire. He also joined the troupe of the Théâtre Volard where he participated in creations of Creole operas such as Maraina et Chine composed and conducted by Jean Luc Trules. In 2012, he decided to continue his studies in France. He began to study at the Conservatoire du 16e Arrondissement and at the École du
