Born in San Giovanni Rotondo (Apulia), Matteo D’Apolito graduated with honors from the Conservatory “Umberto Giordano” in Foggia, where he had his debut on stage as Leporello in Don Giovanni in 2009 at the age of 22. Particularly acclaimed for the buffo repertoire, he has already performed at several Italian prestigious opera houses and festivals, such as Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro (Don Profondo in Il viaggio a Reims), Teatro Regio di Torino (Don Bartolo, Schaunard in La bohème), Teatro Municipale Piacenza (Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Selim in Il turco in Italia), Festival Verdi at Teatro Regio di Parma (Un giorno di regno), Teatro San Carlo a Napoli (Beaupertuis in Il cappello di paglia di Firenze), just to name a few.
