Biography
João Terleira began his musical studies at the Academy of Music of Viana do Castelo. He holds a degree in Singing from the School of Music and Performing Arts (ESMAE) of Porto, under the guidance of Rui Taveira. It performs regularly in Portugal and abroad, covering repertoire that includes singing recitals, symphonic song and oratory. In the field of opera, he sang leading roles in Purcell's Ditus and Aeneas, Così fan tutte, The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni de Mozart, Rita de Donizetti, Frühlings Erwachen de B. Mernier, and Rossini's Il viaggio a Reims, in addition to having participated in the premiere of C. Azevedo, exclusive production of Guimarães - European Capital of Culture 2012.
